BALTA - B.C.-Alberta Social Economy Research Alliance

Mapping Team

The BC-Alberta Social Economy Research Alliance (BALTA) is undertaking a "mapping" program in order to capture the size, geographic scale, scope and characteristics of the social economy in Alberta and British Columbia.  BALTA’s mapping team is coordinating a survey of the overall scope and nature of the social economy and is overseeing a series of more in-depth case studies of specific social economy organizations.

The lead investigator for the mapping program is Dr. Mike Gismondi of Athabasca University.  Dr. Lynda Ross of Athabasca University is also working on the mapping program.
